WELLINGTON, June 1. At a meeting of the Licensing Com*mittee, tho chairman emphasised the fact that licensees should do their utmost to prevent bookmakers using tho, premises for the purposes of gaming. In one case the licensee had reduced, the accommodation for boarders below the limit set by the statute. The Bench gave a warning that the j license, in such a case, might be for-' feitod.
