FORECAST FOR CANTERBURY. - Moderate to strong south-west -and south winds. AVcather continue cold and unsettled, but showing an improvement on the past two days. Showery conditions are still to be anticipated in parts, and from present indications the general outlook may bo termed fair to threatening. F. L. WOOLES. DOMINION FORECAST. ’ • 'Dominion Meteorologist's summary and forecast:— ‘ . A southerly storm has prevailed with cold and showery weather, hail, sleet and snow being reported on high country and parts of the east coast. The barometer has risen fast, and is now about normal everywhere, excepting at the East Cape. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly • winds, cold and changeable conditions prevailing for a short time.' but fair weather predominating soon. Barometer rising everywhere.
