Roberts, of the Karamu, which ’ arrived in Lyttelton yesterday, reported passng the Storm and Wootton sheltering under ' Capo Campbell. Yesterday tho Cygnet made a journey to Akaroa, and will return from the Peninsula port to-day. To-morrow evening she is expected to eail for Kaikoura. Shortly before noon yesterday -the Federal ind Shire Company’s Westmeath arrived in ipprt from Timaru for Homeward loading, but owing to the bad weather very little work was done. In all probability the vessel will sail to-night for Waitara, The AA’estmeath will subsequently visit AVellington for final londng. The overhaul and repairs to tho Kaiapoi Shipping Company’s Kairaki are expeoted to le completed on Wednesday next, and the vessel will load cargo for AVellington, Greyrcouth and Hokitika. .■r The Federal and Shiro Line steamer Kent

The latter vessel is at present having geared turbines fitted at Port Chalmers. Latest advice from the north states that the Commonwealth and Dominion liner Mimiro is due at Auckland on Tuesday, and should reach Lyttelton about Friday.
