WELLINGTON CRIMINAL SESSIONS. [Pub Prkbb Ashooiatiok.] WELLINGTON, May 13. At the Supremo Court to-day John' Alfred Tucker, charged with the manslaughter of Harry Gallagher, who died as the result of a blow struck during a drunken argument outside the City Hotel, was acquitted. Thomas M'Nannua and Owen Gladstone Swan convicted of assault and robbery, came up for sentence. M'Namara was sentenced to two years' hard labour and Swan to six months' hard labour, and eighteen months' reformative treatment thereafter.
Archie Doran, for theft of whisky, was sent to gaol for six months with hard labour.
DUNEDIN CRIMINAL SESSIONS. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN. May 13. At the Supreme Court this morning Thomas Frederick Suttor was found guilty on charges of obtaining credit to the amount of £l6 2s 6d by fraud from the Zealandia. Clothing Factory, and obtaining a bicycle from Cooke and Howlison. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty on a. count of false pretences. A further indictment of two counts against the accused is proceeding. Thomas Frederick Suttor was convicted on five charges of obtaining goods by fraud. Sentence was deferred.. Francis M'Donnell was charged with robbery with violence. The case is unfinished.
