The unidentified body of a man between sixty-five and seventy years of age was found submerged in the mud at the Thorndon Reclamation Works, into which the man had apparently fallen last night. The body was very emaciated. A CHILD DROWNED. [Pes Pbess Association.") NAPIER, March 24. Late this afternoon a boy aged four, a son of Mr T. Junes, fell into the Tutackuri River and was drowned. He was playing on -the bank with his brother and through a false move he fell into the stream which was running almost bank high. He was immediately swept array and it is thought the body was carried out to sea. On Monday evening Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., held an inquest at Hororata concerning the sudden death of John Nott Hartnell, aged seventyone years. Evidence was given that during the fortnight previous to lis death deceased had complained of a pain in his chest. On Sunday evening he was rather worse than usual and went to bed at 8 o'clock. He slept well until four o'clock in the morning, and then got up. He fell down and on being put to bed again died before medical aid could l:e obtained. Dr Simpson stated that death was ' due to heart disease, and the Coroner returned a verdict accordingly-
