Representations have been made to Mr Massey by the Presbyterian Missions Board of Australia asking the dominion to use its influence in supporting the protest to Mr Lewis Harcourt, regarding the New Hebrides. Referring to the cable suggestion that Australia should acquire the French rights of the New Hebrides by purchase, Mr Glynn, Federal Minister of External Affairs, said that the Commonwealth was prepared to meet any opportunity of settling the question on lines honourable to the two nations concerned, whether it involved pecuniary or other methods of adjustment.
