CORSAIR BAY.

to the editor.

Sir,—Please allow me to say a few words in connection with the wonderful Lyttelton swimming resort, Corsair Bay. 1 have travelled a little bit in my time and I must say I have set my eyes upon some beautiful bays and beaches for the use of bathers in this dominion, but I must admit that Corsair Bay is about the dirtiest looking and most vile smelling beach ever I wish to frequent. I would like to know why the Lyttelton Borough Council don’t erect “ seating” accommodation for the public at Corsair Bay instead of talking about getting a loan to build town halls, stables; etc. There’s about two , decent seats at the beach and three or four seats made out of condemned wharf planking. T would like, to know what the Council do with their money. T don’t think they' spend much of it on Lyttelton when I look at Lyttelton streets and Corsair Bay.—l am, etc.. WILL NOT SUPPORT ANY LOAN! Lyttelton, February 28.
