In the House of Commons Sir C. Kinloch-Cooke asked Sir Edward Grey if he would inquire whether Australia would accept the responsibility of administration of the New Hebrides. • Sir Edward Grey replied that it was,impossible to make the suggestion without asking whether they would themselves undertake to purchase or make an exchange of territory.
