AQUATIC.
A committee meeting of the Akaroa Boating Club was held on Thursday evening; present—Messrs C. Goodwin fin tho chair) R. Bruce, T. Lewitt, C W. Lseto, L. Baylock, M. Kearnev, C. Rhodes. C. Hall and F. Hemingway. The Canterbury Cenrre wrote asking for a list of the season's regatta winners. Tha Akaroa Borough Council wrote regarding work done on club's section. It was decided to hold the closing social on July 17 and subcommittees were appointed to arrange details. Accounts amounting to £l2 17s were passed for payment. Subsequently Mr Basil Henning was presented with a marble clock on the occasion of his recent marriage. Tho president, Mr C. W. Leete, in making the presentation, alluded to Mr Henninf's long and valued services to the club, both as a successful oarsman and as an oiDcer of tho club. Mr Henning suitably replied.
