FRESH AIR FUND.
THE UST DAY FOR RECEIVING " CONTRIBUTIONS. The promoters of the Fresh Air Fund are making their annual appeal for the assistance of .the public in bringing at least one day of sunshine and brightness into the lives of the unhappy children whose hard lot is cast in the slums of the great cities of the Mother Country. Every ninepence subscribed to the fund will provide a day's outing with <rame.s and friends and a plentiful supply of food for a child, while ten shillings will pav for its maintenance in a country home or by the seaside for a fortnight. The whole of the expense of management is borne by the promoters. , ... , Subscriptions of any amount will be received at 23, St Bride Street, London E.C., and at the head office and the agencies of the " Lyttelton Times Company. Envelopes containing subscriptions should be marked " Fresh Ai» Fund." The following amounts have been received: £ s. d.
This list will he closed to-night, in order that all subscriptions may reach London in time for use during the prosent English summer.
