THE WEATEEK IN NEW ZEALAND. The following report* from New Zealand stations wero rtceived at 4 p.m. yesterday:—

WincU-fr., fresh; m.g., moderate gale; L, light; br., breeze. Sea—R., rough; H., heavy; S., smooth; C, considerable; M., moderate. WEATHER FORECASTS. Mr Paulin's forecast is as follows: Strong we c t to north-west winds, and fine for twentyfour hours, except in the south. Barometer fall. Dominion meteorologist's summary and forecast:—Moderate to strong south-easterly" wind 3 have prevailed, with cool and changeable weather, and Bhowery at times in tho northernmost districts. The barometer is still high everywhere. Present indications are for easterly winds to a gale northward of East Capo and Kawhia. south-easterlies increasing thenco to Kaikoura and Farewell Spit, and moderate to strong southerlie3 elsewhere. Unsettled arcl stormy weather probable in tho JJcrth Island shortly, with heavy rain in the noithern districts, and rain probably following over the North Island. Cool and changeable weather probable in the South. Tho barometer has a falling tendency everywhere, especially in the north.
