MEETINGS OF PARISHIONERS.

ST MARTIN’S SPREYDON. The annual meeting of parishioners of St Martin’s, Spreydon, was held in the Coronation Hall, and was well attended. The Vicar (the Rev F. Dunnage) thanked the parishioners for their sympathetic support and co-operation. . The Sunday school, which ho desired to make as effective ns possible, had grown. The teachers were enthusiastic, and a room for the infant school was about to bo built. Tho number of communicants showed a steady increase, the parish having benefited from the mission conducted by the Rev E. H. Shore. The warden’s report showed receipts amounting to £157 10s, and an expenditure of £IOB 7s 3d, leaving a credit balance in tho general account of £7 12s 7d, and in the special accounts of £4l 10s 2d. The retiring Church. officers were reappointed and Mr J. Elmes was added to their number. Votes of thanks were passed to all the Church workers, special mention being made of tho organist, Mr Ward, and n special vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Brown, for her work in connection with the bell fund. After the meeting was over tho choir sang several glees, and refreshments supplied by some of the parishioners were handed round. ST MARY’S, HALSWELL. There was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of tho parishioner? of St Mary’s, Halswell, which was held in the Vicarage. The Vicar, in his address, said that amidst many difficulties there was much to encourage them, especially tho steady increase in the number of communicants. He had great hopes of tho mission shortly, to he held, and expected that they would celebrate their jubilee next year in some fitting manner. Tho warden’s report showed receipts amounting to £122 19s 2d, and an expenditure of £llß 11s 2d. The retiring C-hurch officers were re-appointed and the usual votes of thanks passed.

ST THOMAS’S, DTTNSANDEL. At tho annual meeting of parishioners of St Thomas’s, Dunsandel, there was a good attendance. The Rev H. G. Hawkins presided. The balance sheet, which showed a credit balance of £1 8s lOd, was adopted. Tho following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Vicar’s warden, Mr J. Scales; people’s warden, Mr H. F. Wright; vestry, Messrs A. J. W. Ballock, D. W. Westenra, H. Scales, F. Owers, D. T. Wright, J. Hill, F. E. Hunt and C. A. Wright. Mr F. E. Owers was reelected auditor.
