THE HAT NUISANCE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Your correspondent " MaeL.s D.," in Saturday's "Times," has»not read the second chapter of first Corinthians correctly, for in the sixteenth verse Paul wishes to imply that it is a matter of choice whether the head is covered or otherwise. Rut my own opinion is that if Paul was alive to-day and went into some of our churches, he would condemn some of the worsen for the monstrous things they wear on their heads. For in the first epistle of Timothy, second chapter and ninth verse, he says: " In like manner also that tho women adorn themselves in modest nppare], with shamefacedness and sobriety, not with broidered hair, or gold; Of pearls, or costly array." Rut if "MacL.-D." ran fi"d a way out of the hat nuisance he will confer a boon on regular church attenderr.—T nm.stf.. DISGUSTED.
