FRESH AIR FUND.

The promoters of the Fresh Air Fund are making their annual appeal for tho assistance of the public in bringing at least ono day of sunshine and brightness into tho lives of the unhappy children whose hard lot is cast in the slums of the great cities of the Mother Country. Every ninepenee subscribed to the fund will provide a day's outing with games and friends and a plentiful supply of food for a child, while ten shillings will pay for its maintenance in a country home or by the seaside for a fortnight. The whole of the expense of management is borne by tho promoters.

Subscriptions of any amount will be received at 213, St Bride Staeet, London, E.G.. and at tho head office and the agencies of the " Lytteltcn Times" Company. Envelopes containing subscriptions should be marked " Fresh Air Fund." Tho following amounts have been received :
