THE WEATHER IN NEW ZEALAND. The following reports from New Zealand stations were received at 4 p.m. yesterday:—

Wind—fr., fresh; m.g., moderate gale; 1., light; br., breeze. Sea —R., rough; H., heavy; 8., smooth; C, considerable; M., moderate.

WEATHER FORECASTS. Mr Paulin's forecast:—Strong north to west winds. Fine for twenty-four hours, except on tho west and south portions of the the South Island. The Dominion Meteorolcgist's summary and forecast:—A small area of low pressure has parsed in the south, with strong westerly and southerly winds and unsettled weather. Conditions have been fair -to cloudy in the north, with showers in narts. Tho barometer is above normal everywhore. rising slowly in tin south, and falling in the north. Present indications are for increasing south-easterly winds in and no-thward of Cook Strait, and for strong southerly winds elsewhere. A storm area appears to be develoDing to the northward cf Now Zealand, and a change may bo expected over the North Island after aboiih thirty-sis hours. Cool and changeable weather is probable generally, and showers in pn-rts. tho barometer falling in the north, but fairly steady in the south.
