Addington played a' drawn game with Woolston, Whittaker scoring two goals for Addington and - Goggan two goals for Woolston. Mr R. Rogers was referee. Sydenham beat St Albans at St Albans by seven goals, shot by Hayes (2), Athworth (2), Clajk (2) and -Pellow, to nil. Mr H. Hales was referee. • East Belt defeated Y.M.C.A- at South Park by three goals, shot by Poore, to two shot by C. Bascand. St John's beat St Luke's at Lyttelton by eleven goals, shot by Murray (4), Buchanan (3), Voyce (2), Wilson and Nelson, to nil. Mr A. Cousins was referee. St John's defeated St Luke's at Lyttelton by eleven goals to nil. Goals were scored by Murray (4), Buchanan (3), Voyv 6 (2), and Wilson and Nelson. St Luke's played four men short. Mr A. Couzins was referee. FOURTH GRADE.

Oxford Terrace drew with Christchurch at St Albans, each side scoring two goals. Drayton scored for Oxford Terrace and M'Kinnon for Christchurch. Mr G. Parrott was referee. Selwyn Street beat St Peter's at "SVoolston by two goals, scored by Cole and Hill, to one, scored by Clarke. Mr Turnpenny was referee. ~ .

LADIES' MATCHES. The season was opened'in fine weather on Saturday. The grounds on the South Park were in fair orderfor three parts of their length, but the east ends of both playing areas were covered with long grass, which spoilt play whenever the ball got there. Only two Senior games were played. Girls' High School B defaulted to Hinemoa, and the game Girls' High School A v. Gilby's was postponed owing to school holidays. The remaining two fixtures were both evenly, contested, particularly Waimairi v. Digby's, in which the former signalised their promotion to Senior rank with a meritorious win. FIRST GRADE. Hinemoa won from Girls' High : School B by default. '?••• KOTIRO v. WAIHORA. These teams met on tho Polo Ground, and, although Waihora won by three goals to nil, the game was by no means 'one-sided. Miss E. M'Millan scored two goals and Miss A. Chamberlain one for the winners. Miss Goodwin gave an excellent display for Kotiro, whose forwards were not so clever -in • the oircle as the visitors. Mr J. Cade was .DIGBY'S v. WAIMAIRI. This proved a very exciting contest', in which some really fine play took place. ' The Waimairi girls showed plenty of dash and cleverness, and won j by a coal, scored by Miss L. Horner,'to ml. Mr P. Stubberneld was referee. SECOND GRADE. The game between Ngaio and Sydenham, played at Woolston, ended in a win for Ngaio. Digby's A journeyed to Rangiora, where the local team won by eight goals to nil. Miss Purdham scored six ' goals and Mrs C. Bell and Miss Greig one each for the winners'. Mr W. T. - Wilson was referee. At the North Park Te Kaha played a drawn gam© with Red >• Rovers, ' neither team scoring. Mr W. Bamford ] was referee. !

NEW ZEALAND LADIES' 1 ASSOCIATION. J The fourth annual meeting of ,the i New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Associa- * tion was held in Wellington on April J .'3O. Mr A. A. Bennett presiding. < The resignation of the secretary, I Miss W. Mellsop, was received, and accepted with regret, and it was decided to place on record, an appreciation of her services. Several suggestions regarding the game were included in the letter, which was referred to the committee for consideration. The reoort and balance-sheet stated that the'number of affiliated associations was now fifteen, and it was anticipated that during the coming year several new associations would join. Affiliation had been granted to the; Association by the English Women s | Hockev Association. The financial condition of the Association was most satisfactory, there being a credit bal-, ance of £35 16s 3d. Officers were elected as follows:-!
