HINDS CLUB
A meeting of the committee of the Hinds Athletic Club was held on Wednesday. Mr W. J. Bennett was in the chair. The secretary reported that the sports meeting held on April 18 was a great success, and that after paying all accounts, the club had a credit balance of over £3O. A beanfcy vote of thanks was passed to the juctges, starter and all officials who helped to make the gathering so great a success, and the Secretary (Mr Watson) was congratulated on his successful efforts on behalf of the club.
The following were not included in the publishod results of the sports held it Tinwald on Thursday afternoon: — Married Women's Race —Mrs Blakeway 1, Mrs Stephens 2, Mrs Parsons 8. Three-mile Bicycle Bace—C. Langdon, 70yds, 1; L. Young. 100yds, 2; G. Meh'arry, 40yds, 8. Time, tain lGsec.
In the eTening a concert and a dance ■were held in tho Oddfellows' Hall, when there was a large attendance.
