ANNUAL MEETING. i The annual meeting of the S«rttfch Society was held on Thursday evening, Acting-Chief Mackintosh presiding oi-er a large attendance of members. The annual report referred to tho losses by death that had occurred during the year. The sudden death erf Chief Alexander Henderson had been a great loss to the Society. He «o Past Chieftain, John Wilson, who had also died during the year, had been one. of the original members, and had done excellent work for the Society. At the end of the Society's year there were 211 members on the roli. Tho balance-sheet showed thai receipts for the year had totalled £442 10a Od and tho expenditure had be&x £287 6s lOd, leaving a credit balance or £155 3s lid.
