TYPHOID FEVER.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,—Now- we have Mr Allison admitting that lie has known what waa the cause of some of our fevers since he was clerk at Sydenham. And he has kept it quiet for all these years. Since that time there have been thousands of connections with the sewer, all having the effect of manufacturing typhoid and other dangerous germs, which have caused thausands of fever cases to pass through the hospital. All our public men fall short of their duty when thev nave to deal with this business: I have been trying to get this system improved for years. I interviewed Mr Allison, when he was clerk and Mayor, upon sanitary matters, and all public men'l have interviewed upon this subject have failed to do their duty. Let the Public Health Committee of the Hospital Board set up a public inquiry into the sanitation of this city and its surroundings; then they will find out what is the cause of 'all these cases. An inquiry will pay them much better than the buildfng of moro hospitals.—l^m^^^ g -
