MAIL NOTICES.

Letter mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.; lato fea, i.e., letters bearing id additional stamp, 11.15 a.m.; also mail van up to 8 a.m.*and guard's van 11.65 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. FRIDAY, MAY 3. For Dunedin, per Moana, at 11 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, also New South Wales and Queensland (duo Sydney Miay 10), per Mararoa, to connect with Maheno, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's Tan, 5.25. p.m. train. SATURDAY, MAY 4.

For Australian States, etc. (due Melbourne May 11), and South Africa, per express, to connect with Moana, at 11 a.m.'; lato fee letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train.

For Chatham Islands, per Mokoia, to connect with Himitangi, at 7.29 p.m.; lato feo letters, 7.35 p.m.; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train.

Mails from the United Kingdom despatched from London on March 29, via Brindisi, aro uue in Christchurch on May 7, as follow: — Letters 8 a.m., via Auckland; newspapers 5.30 p.m., via Bluff. Mails for the Unitod Kingdom despatched from Christchurch on March 21, via Brindisi, arrived in London on April 26, duo date.

Mails for United Kingdom, Australian States, etc., per Moeraki, close at Wellington on May 3, at 3.30 p.m. ' Mails that left London en April 3, and Vancouver, on April 17, aro due in Christchurch on May 9. Tho next mail for the United States and Canada will leavo Christchurch on May S, via Vancouver.
