THEATRE ROYAL.

There was another large audience at the Theatre Royal last evening, when “ Why Men Love Women, ” was again successfully presented by the Allan Hamilton Dramatic Company. “ Why Men Love Women ” will be repeated to-night and to-morrow, and on Friday, the last night of the season, the publio will have an opportunity of seeing Miss Frances Ross in the part of Lady Isabel in “East Lynne.’’ This is said to be one of her great characterisations.

FULLER’S PICTURES. Messrs Fuller and Son have a reputation for securing the latest and most interesting films available, and the new programme shown last evening was no exception to this excellent rule. There was a very large audience at the Colosseum, and the programme was well varied. The feature of the series was a very fine description in a long film of Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet," which was remarkably well acted. The main incidents of the story were connectedly told and the series wa3 commendably clear. The play scene and the fight between Hamlet and Laertes wore especially good, and the actors all played carefully and naturally. The piece was beautifully mounted and was heartily applauded. A pretty film showed a number of children in a beauty competition, and tho waterfalls of Piedri. in Spain, were tastefully shown. An Industrial subject of much interest showed mining in South Africa, and a view of an Italian town after a snowstorm included somo very pretty effects. Tho dramatic pictures included “ Jean and the Waif.” in which a trained dog played a loading part well, and “ The Little Souls,” a pathetic story. A number of funny pictures completed a good programme. The entertainment will be repeated this evening, and “ Hamlet ’’ will be shown for two more nights only.

OPERA HOUSE. Mr Alexander Prince was the chief attraction at the Opera House again last evening. His items on the concertina were well received by a largo audience, and he had to respond to several encores. The other members of the company were also greatly appreciated. The same programme will bo given this evening.

WE3T-HAYWARD PICTURES. There was another large audience at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening, when the now programme of the WestHayward Picture Company was repeated. The scenic studies in the Dutch East Indies, and in Salzberg in Germany were especially interesting, and the dramatic pictures were well received. The orchestra, under Mr Charles Parnell, played some classical and popular numbers troll. The programme will be repeated this evening. OLYMPIA RINK. The Olympia Rink was again well patronised last evening. During the school holidays special concessions will bo mado to school children at tile morning and afternoon sessions. The management has taken a new departure, and is issuing programmes of the music to its patrons. SYDENHAM PICTURES.

There was a crowded house at the Sydenham Empire Theatre last night, when the Australian picture play, “ Frank Gardiner, King of the Road/’ was again received with marks of approval. The programme will be chancj ed to-night, but the “Frank Gardiner’’ film will bo retained for three more nights. The new series of pictures will include “The Scales of Justice” and

“ Judgment.” There will also be a new series of comic and scenic pictures and appropriate musical selections by the Empire orchestra.
