OBITUARY.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Alarch 6. Mr Alfred Ashbolt, for twenty-six years foreman printer of the “New Zealand Times,” is dead, aged sixtythree. He was a keen cricketer, and at one time was selector for the Wellington plrovince. Mr S. J. Jago, late chief postmaster at ’Wellington, died at Perth, Western Australia, on Alarch 2. Ho was chief postmaster at Napier from 1836 to 1902, and had been connected with the postal service for forty years.
