A ministerial statement that has been published points out that the majority of the strikers were reinstated except those convicted of sabotage and those persisting in an insubordinate and Anarchial attitude. Tho Government asks the railway companies to follow tho State’s example in the interest of social pacification. The statement foreshadows the enforcement and reform of tho secularisation laws. The Government desire a pacific policy abroad, based on existing agreements and the security offered by the army’s ever increasing strength.
