AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL. Mr W. Chambers, of Doyleston, was the successful tenderer for the lease of Mr J.Nairn’s farm, near Leeston.
A farmer from the Kylo district, in the Ashburton County, reports that stock feed is none too plentiful, and that dry weather is responsible for much rape and turnip blight.
