FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND

At Cloncurry twenty inches have fallen since Friday, and tho town was flooded. There were five feet of water in an hotel bar. several bridges were washed away, and further serious damage is expected. (Received January 11, 12.30 a.m.) A telegram from Ayr states that seventeen inches of rain have fallen, and the Burdckin River is rising rapidly. Railway communication has been stopped. Other places report heavy rain, washaways and threatened floods.
