A lecture under tho auspices of the Christchurch High School Old Girls’ Association will be given by Mr Gilchrist on Tuesday evening, on the subject of “ Astronomy.” The tin nual meeting of the Canterbury; Beekeepers’ Association will be held in the Trades Hall on Tuesday evening. Holiday excursion tickets will he issued by tho Railway Department on Thursday and Friday in connection with the Ashburton County Racing Club’s meeting.

During the evening service to-morrow at tho Methodist Mission in Durham Street, Miss Gragg, of Napier, will sing “Babylon.” At tho St. Albans Methodist Clmrch -vow morning,' the Rev W. A. Sinclair will give ail address on ‘•Church Lib: and Week in Australia.”
