MINING.

AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. [From Our Correspondent.]

AUCKLAND. Juno 16.

Business has been fairly brisk on the Stock Exchange in mining stocks. Waihi dropped back from ]66:s to IGOs (id. with Inter transactions yesterday -afternoon at 161 s. It is quite possible that the collapse of the rubber boom in London may have caused some Waihi shares to be sent on to 'this market to raise money, as it is known that several thousand Talisman shares were disposed of in Auckland on account of English sellers. This caused the price of this stock to drop from 63s to 525. Waihi Grand Junction also eased a littlo in price, being sold at 31s Cd. A fair number of sales have taken place in Hauraki Reef during the week, paid-up issue selling from Is 7d io Is Cd and contributing from lid to lOcl. Old Hauraki shows little change this week, being sold from 4s 3d to 4s sd. Severn! hauls of picked stone have been reported from the rise in the 400-foot level, where the former manaeer first secured a few pounds. Thames lines have not had much attention this week, but May Q.ieon sold at Is 3d, Saxon at Is Pd and Kuranui Caledonian at Is 7d. Sales were „atso made of IVaitangi at 2s Cd and Watchman at from Is Ifid to 2s. Consolidated Goldfields shares sold up to 21s and Ross Goldfields from 19s to 20s Cd, while buyers of Blackwatcr advanced their oilers to 81b, without sales resulline.
