BAND OF HOPE UNION.
The contests in connection with the Canterbury Bond of Hope Union wore continued at the Choral Hall last evening, when there was a good attendance. The items taken were the Class h vocal solos, scarf drill and tableaux. The winners for the previous evening wore as follows: — ~ ~. Class D, vocal solos (fonuue ; Hilda Cocker (High Street) 1, Miss fc. Buttcrfield (Crescent Road) 2, Miss Hull (Crescent Road) d. Class E, recitations— J'uss L. Bmii (Addfngton) and Mr A M'.Calun. (Addington) equal 1, Mr Terries vOiwooni Road) 3, Miss Brooker (Cambridge lerrace) 4 Mr «■ Brown (Selwyn Street) 5, Mrs Rickards (Opawa) 6. Pianoforte solos—Class A: Fhylhs Class B: jte ta» g£ .wwl Primitive Methodist) i, Jms>ic Half (Gamboge Terrace) 3, Marjcno Torriss (Crescent Road) J. Hoop drill-Cambridge Terracel . The contests wjll be continued this evening, when a holiday programme will bo given.
