The lectures of tho second term of Canterbury College will commonco on Saturday. Dr J. ('. Bradshaw will give an organ recital in His Majesty's Theatro on Saturday afternoon. A concert and dramatic performance will be given in St Mary's Schoolroom, Merivale. this evening. Tho Wainoni Entertainers will appear at Sheffield this evening, at Glentunnel to-morrow, and at Kirwoe on Friday. A jumble sale will be held in Knox Church Schoolroom, liealey Avenue. this afternoon and evening, in aid of tho debt .extinction fund. A euchre tournament and social gathering in celebration-of the anniversary of the Druids' Lodges in Christchurch. will bo held in tho Alexandra Hall this evening. A meeting of the Trinity Congregational Temperance Guild will be held in Trinity Hall this evening. Addresses will be given by the Rov L. M. Isitt and the Rev W.J. Closs.
