EARTHQUAKE RECORDS.
United 1 Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 30, 12.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 29. A very severe earth tremor was registered at the Observatory shortly before midnight on April 27, preceded by two smaller tremors. The maximum amplitude was 15.8 millimetres. . Largo waves continued for nearly five minutes. Some of the series of succeeding waves reached six millimetres. The epicentrum of tho earthquake was 2000 or 3000 miles north from Sydney, probably in the seismio zone embracing the Philippines and surrounding islands. FREMANTLE, April 29. Slight earth tremors have been felt in the Northampton district. They were noticed at midnight on April, 19. No damage is reported.
