Forty persons Were killed at Benavente, and fifteen lit Samorra and Correia. SHOCKS IN SPAIN. ; MADRID, April 25. , Heavy earthquake shocks were experienced at Madrid, Cordova, Makgi, Seville, Valladolid, Jerizez and Badajos. (Reoeived April 27, 12.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 26. Two severe shocks of earthquake ;vere felt at 10.25 on Saturday night. The direction was west to east. ELTHAM, April 26. A fairly sharp shock of earthquake was experienced here at about 10.30 on Saturday night. FEILDING, April 26. i Two sharp earthquake shocks were felt here at 10.24 on Saturday night’. !
