Two Russian battalions, a battery and a quick-firer company, have started for Tabriz. M. Isvolsky, in a note to the Powers, explains that the expedition is restricted to measures for the relief and protection of the consulates and foreigners, and when order has been rostored the detachment will he withdrawn. THE RUSSIAN INTERVENTION. NATIONALISTS AND ROYALISTS UNEASY. (Received April 26, 10.6 p.m.) TEHERAN, April 26. Two sotnias of Cossacks are marching to Tabriz. A company of Frontier Guards occupied the Persian town of ’Julfa. Other Russians are marching Strom Tiflis. The Shah,, after negotiating with the besieged, consented to an indefinite prolongation of the armistice. Both Nationalists and Royalists lire profoundly unousy at the Russian intervention.
