Now that tho High Court’s decision governs Broken Hill, tho directors consider that this removes what was objectionable and unworkable, and intend to resume operations on Monday, giving employment to 1200 hands. Tho award of tho Arbitration Court in the Auckland provincial coachworkers dispute was delivered to-day. The only point in dispute between tho parties was whether tho minimum wage should remain at Is 2d an hour or bo raised to la 3d, as desired by the Union. Tiie Court granted the increase. Tlio award is to apply to the whole northern industrial district, except Poverty Bay, and will remain in force for three years.
