[Pex Pbkss Association.] WANGANUI. May 12. A sixteen-year-old lad named Horace Toop, while working a circular saw at a timber factory, had four lingers'of his left hand cut off yesterday. WELLINGTON., May 12. Alexander Chalmers, a single man aged twenty-three- years, while working in a quarry at Paekariki to-day, was crushed between two .stones through a ♦steam crane swinging round. One of his legs is badly injured, and his case is regarded at the hospital as serious. On Sunday evening a boy named i Prnttley was injured while riding a | bicycle through a collision with another I bicycle in Denmark Street, Tcmuka. He suffered concussion ef the brain, k besides minor injuries.
