[Pbb Pbess Association.] ASHBURTQN, February 17. On Sunday evening a fire occurred in Ashburton in a. house occupied by Mr L. Smith and family, but it was extinguished after burning and damaging the contents of ono room. Both the building and furniture are covered by insurance. The damage totals £3O. NELSON, February 17. Insurances on the firs at Dodson and 1 Sons' malthouse:—£3oo in the Standard Office on the building and £350, also in the Standard Office, on the malt. The value of the malt in tha place was between £I2OO and £I4OO. It will not be known till the sale what the net loss will be.
