SOUTH CANTERBURY v NORTH CANTERBURY.

Tli© annual match between South and North Canterbury will be played at Hagley Park to-morrow, commencing at 10 o'clock, and on Thursday. Tho Canterbury selector has chosen, the following players to represent North Canterbury:—C. F. D. Cook, E. E. Orawshaw, E. R. Caygill, H. Ellis, E. Goldsmith, H. M'Olelland, E. Gasson, S. A. A cricket match was played atWaiau on. Saturday between teams from Rotherham and Waiau, the visitors winning easily by five wickets. For the winners,- Rennie, Jerrett and O'Malley were the chief scorers, and O'Brien and Coakley brothers for the losers.

A match played, at Spreydon on Saturday between the Avon Cricket Club and the Spreydon Cricket Club resulted in a win for tho former by 27 runs. Spreydon mad© 63 (M'Cutcheon 19 not out "and Flatman 10) and Avon C JO (Pearce 40 and Commons 15). Spicer and Delaniere bowled well for the winners, and Marson, Deans and Smith for the losers.
