A LADY CYCLIST.

A TOUR OF THE WORLD. [From Our Correspondent.] AUCKLAND, November 23. A Liverpool lady, named Mrs A. G. Homewoodf, who is at present in Auckland staying with relatives, is touring the world on a bicycle. She cycled about 1500 miles in America, and then, owing to pressure of time, had to tako the train for the remainder of the journey to the Pacific coast. She came down to New Zealand in. the last Vancouver mail steamer, and after cycling as far South as Dunedin, she will cross over to Australia, .and continue her cycling tour there, finishing up at Adelaide. On starting the tour it was her intention to proceed from Adelaide to Japan, and thence across _ Siberia and Europe to England, but this latter and most interesting part of the journey may have to be deleted, as Mrs Homeward fears that correspondence will be awaiting her at Adelaide making it imperative for her to proceed to England without delay. On Saturday last Mrs Homeward started to cycle to Russell, but after proceeding as far as the Wade she decided to return to Auckland, as the roads were in a shockingly bad condition after the rain. The clay surface had formed into holes, and Tidges, and .the lady had to Tvalk thirteen miles out of twenty. She leaves for Rotoi'ua in a few days.
