Bank Rate.—The bank rate is 7 per cent; three months' bills are discounted at GJ per cent. Consols. —Consols are quoted at £B2. Colonial Securities. —Colonial securities are quoted as under, last week's quotations being also given:— Nov. 15. Nov. 22.

Wheat.—The wheat markets are quiet and fairly steady, but the American financial troubles are still causing nervousness. There is nothing doing in. cargoes, and 43s 6d is asked for Australian new crop, January-Febru-ary shipment. There is a quiet trade in Australian on the spot at 45s 6d to 46s per quarter. Flour is steady with little business; Australian is offering at 30s to 30s 6d ex store. Butter.—There is a fair trade in butter; Danish is unaltered; choicest Australian, salted and unsalted, 114 s to 116 s per cwt, a few lots being quoted at 118 s; New Zealand 118 s to 120 s. Silver.—2s 3id per oz. Copper.—On spot £59 per ton, three months' £SB 15s. Tin.—On spot £135 10s per ton, three months' £136 15s per ton. Lead.—£l7 12s 6d per ton. Spelter.—£2o 15s per ton. Iron.—£2 10s 7d per ton. Sugar.—German 9s 4d, first marks 10s lid. „ Wool.—The Bradford wool market is quiet; forties lojd, forty-sixes 16$d, others unchanged. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association of Canterbury, Limited, received the following cable message from its London office on Saturday:—" Wheat is 6d per quarter cheaper.
