Mr D. Thomas, of Ashuurtaii, 'reports having sold on Tuesday 12,000 bushels of assorted milling wheat at •if? 3d per bushel on. trucks nt Ashburfcoii. The Ashbirrton 'Branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association, in conjunction with Mr B. Thomas, reports having sold a largo line of prime milling wheat on a basis of 4s 4-d par bushel on trucks at Ashburton, equal to 4>3 7d f.o.b. It is understood the line exceeds 40,000 bushels, and that the line was tho largest'holding of wheat in the county.
