—-*. ARBITRATION COURT. [Peb Press Association.] BLENHEIM, July 4, At the Arbitration Court this morn> ing W. v Osgood, builder, was fined £lO, covering three breaches of the carpenters' award. Thomas May, builder,, was fined £5, and J. Leslie, plumber, was fined £5. The farm labourers' dispute was next called, and two hun* dred and forty farmers were cited by the Labour Union. The Farmer*' Union defended the case. Mr Brown, the employers' representative on ui« Bench was not present, owing to illhealth. Tho case abruptly terminated, the president ruling that the procedure laid down in Sections 105 and 106 of the Industrial Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1905, had not been complied with by tho Labour Union in citing the employers. Th« Court, therefore, had no jurisdiction, and tho case was dismissed.
