'The Broken Hill Union delegates adopted a resolution disapproving of the mine managers’ offer of an increase. They could not see their way to recommend its acceptance by the Unions. It is proposed to take a ballot of the miners on Sunday, on the ground that the delegates’ disapproval is an acceptance of the offer under circumstances which may endanger the principles of unionism. THE TRAMWAY MEN. [Pkr Press Association - .] WELLINGTON, October 25. The conference of tramway employee delegates passed a resolution protesting against the action of municipalities in the southern centres in allying themselves with a private company to keep down the standard of living, and to oppose the improvement of working conditions of the tramway employees. The conference appealed to the electors to' return men at next elections who will consider the interest of the citizens as a whole, and not merely the capitalist class. ■
