AUSTRALIAN BUTTER.
AN EXPORT CONTRACT. United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright.
MELBOURNE, October 13
The Butter Export Committee, in October last, entered into a three years’ contract with a number of British shipping companies. It is now proposed to take advantage of a proviso allowing twelve months to be given. It is understood that the committee has information that, with the increase of shipping competition and developments expected in connection with the new mail contract, it can secure equally favourable terms elsewhere, with the additional advantage of more regular delivery.
