MAORI ELECTIONS.

, There is an unusually large number of candidates for the ©lection, of four Maori members of Parliament to-mor-row. Each seat is likely to be keenly contested. The writs are made returnable before January 11. Following is a complete list of the candidates: — Northern —Hono Heke, Hurama Tukariri, Papa Ururoa, Ru Reweti, Rihara Rotoroa. Eastern—Wi Pere, Apirana Ngata, Ihaia Hutana, Mohi Te Atahikoia, Tuhoko Kohere, _ Tiki Paaka. Western—Hen are Kaihau, Eruera te Kahn, Hamiora'Mangakahia, Te Heuheu Tukino, , Potiera Taipua, Hare Teimana, Te Woraroa Kmgi. Southern —Tame Parata, Wiwi Taiaroa, John Hopere, Whare Witi Uru, Tuiti Makeifcanara, Hoana Matieu.
