[Per Press Association.] GISBORNE, December 18. Tho gathering of wool along the coast has caused the smaller steamers to be very busy. The Haupiri returned from Gisborne direct to Tuparoa, loading CSO bales there, and to-day was loading 150 bales at Waipiro. She should reach Gisborne early in the morning. Tho Tuatea left for Waipare late on Sunday night to land wool for transhipment to the Tyser liner Indralema, and the Shirley Hassell went round East Cape .this evening after working at Waipiro to-day, and having already worked Tolaga and Tokomaru. It is expected the Indralema will get away for Auckland about neon to-morrow. Though tho shearing has been delayed this season tho wool is being handled expeditions^.
