. Among the arrivals in Christchurch yesterday were Colonel and Mrs R. A. Chafley J. M. Twomey (Temuka), W. M. Pearson, A. Salenger, C. B. Rogers, G. F. Highland and G. Bernstein (Dunedin). Sir Joseph Ward will leave by tonight’s northern boat. Mr Thomas Murray (Melbourne) and Mr C. Cutten (Temuka) are in town. The Premier, with Mrs Seddon and Captain Seddon, left for Wellington by the s.s. Rotomah-ana last evening. Tho Hons T. Y. Duncan, C. H. Mills and J. Carroll wore passengers by the same steamer. The Rev F. R. Imvo-od left for Wellington by the Rotomahana yesterday.
