CURRENT NOTICES.
In Canterbury Hall, on November 3, the operatic cantata, " The Haymakers," will be given by over seventy performers, with a. full 'Cast of characters and stage effects, under the conducto-rship of Mr G. Daltry. The proceeds will be devoted to tho organ fimd of the Sydenham Wesloyan Church. Particulars in collection with examinations for dredgemaster, mine-manager and battery superintendents' certificates are advertisedl in this issue. The Elite Band will give a concert in aid of the " Scott Memorial Fund" this evening, at eight o'clock, in the playgrounds of the Gloucester Stre&b ScOiool. It is announced that no further entries for the current term of any of the Christchuroh Associated Technical Olanses cam be received after this weak. There will be-a meeting of ladies in the City Council Chambers at 3.30 this- afternoon to take action in regard to extending the usefulness of the Navy League.
