The Senate adopted a. report of the Medical Committee recommending that the degrees of M.B. ami Cb.B. should be conferred on Agatha Adams, Winifred Bathgate, Alexander Kinder, Gilbert Minims. Emily Ridley and Peter Buck. The last named is the first Mdori to receive a New Zealand medical degree. The following, though they have parsed in all subjects, are not entitled to receive their degress) because they have not yet complied' with all the regulations;—Thomas M’Kfbbin, James Robertson, John Robertson. Advice has been received from the examiners in England by the Chancellor of the University that A. R. Andrews; and J. A. Thomson, both of Dunedin, candidates for the 1851 Exhibition Science Scholarship, value £l5O a year, tenable for two years, are equal on point of merit of their papers.
