[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 26. The barquentinc Senorita- collided with the Government wharf at Helensville and sustained damage to the extent of about £3OO. PALMERSTON NORTH, August 26. Samuel Griffiths, son of the Rev J. W. Griffiths, of Wiiangarci, was killed! at Rongotea to-day. He was driving a lorry for amusement, and losing the reins, stooped to reach them, falling beneath the vehicle. He received such injuries that he died in half on hour. DUNEDIN, August 26. ;At the inquest on an infant named Clark, at Palmerston, the evidence -showed that death was duo to accidental choking, causing spasms ■in the windpipe, through imbibing too quickly from a bottle of magnesia, sugar and water. A child was taken to the Hospital on Tuesday night suffering from a badly scalded foot. After .remaining there all night she was removed yesterday morning. A lad was admitted to the Hospital on Tuesday suffering from injuries sustained whilst playing on l the river bank. It is thought that his-collar-bone is broken l . On Tuesday an inquest was held at Springfield relative to the sudden death of Air C. L. Davies. Medical evidence was to the’ effect that death had resulted from heart spasms, followed by syncope, and the jury’s verdict was in accordance with this testimony.
