MIBB WHALLBI’S FATE,
APPARENTLY DROWNED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright. LONDON, May 25. The body of Miss Whalley, whose supposed abduction was cabled on March 11, has been discovered in a sand heap on the river below Moscow. The indications are that she was accidentally drowned. (In© cable referred to was as follows: — “The monks at Damlos Monastery decoyed the daughter of an Englishman named Whalley, the manager of a Moscow mill, and so shockingly maltreated her that she died after the police had released her from the Monastery. The Russian Government, yielding to Britain’s pressure, has ordered an inquiry.”)
