The Progress Mines or New Zealand .report ■that during 'the morri.lt of April 4-371 tons of stone were- 'mined, and trarosportedi by atrial tramway to a sixty-live stamp mill, where 4885 tons were crushed, producing 18290 z 3dwt 12gr or bullion, valued at £76071s lOd, and; 90 tons of concentrates were -chlorinated, yieldiing 'bullion 'to the value 0£ £1057 15s; 2070 tons of tailings were cy-anided, yielding bullion to the value of £753 12s. Wealth of Nation*—During the 'month 1026 tons of quartz were crushed at a twenty-stamp yielding 2540 z 6d:wt ISgr of at £lO-16 19s id, 7 were prod'uot-d 1 e'ad 745 tons of coarse sands -were cyami-ded, the latter yielding bullion 'to the value of £248 103 sd. Consolidated Go'ldfields- of New. Zealand, Limited (Golden- Fleece) —1240 tor.® of quartz wero crushed, for -a. WESTLAND NOTES. [From Our Correspondent.] GEEYMOUIH, May 14, Blackwator River is mow working in tight ground, and clay is slightly troublesome. Possibly the dredge -will close down at the end of the week for the purpose of repairing the machinery and altering the tables. Tho Prince of Wales return last week was 17oz lldwt far 110 hours. The machinery is now in good repair, and there Bhould be a steady run for a good time io como. As there is a balance in hand, it should not be long before a dividend is forthcoming. Shellback's return last week, was'l9oz. Moonlight is another dredge that -will be starting within six weeks. The wash is somewhat rough.
